Sarong is a beach wear or swim wear apparel for women of all age group. It
is long flowing fabric with rectangle cut often with bright colors. It is a
comfortable and stylish apparel which you will see on the beach and swimming
poolside. Some woman uses long T's or robes as cover up but sarong is most

Sarongs could be worn in different styles like – simply knot around
your waist, over the shoulder, or could be draped over your body. To secure

ties. Now coming down to fabric of sarong; light cottons are the best but silk also looks flashy and stylish. You surely would not like to invest a fortune in sarong. Find out the unused light cotton or silk saree at home or buy from local fabric shops where you can buy cheap materials. Export surplus stores are the best for looking out for fabrics for sarong. Minimum measurement of 2 – 3 yards length and 3-5 feet width fabric is required. Go for simple and pleasing designs of fabric for poolside whereas, vibrant colors and prints are ideal for beach. Yellow, golden and orange with shaded colors or different prints matched with the color of sand on beach and compliments tanned skin. It is advisable to wash the fabric before hemming. For an appealing style; you can stitch decorative strings to the two edges of the sarong. Try matching strings with the color and pattern of the fabric.
