Women's Bathrobes

Send EnquiryBath Robes A bathrobe is a one-piece garment usually made of terrycloth or any other towel like fabric and is generally worn after a bath or swim. Its purpose is preserving modesty when there is no immediate need of dressing up formally.

Types of Bath Robes:
As per the season and latest fashion there are many styles of bathrobes available in the market. Two of the most popular styles are:

Shawl Collar: This kind of bathrobe is called shawl collar because it covers the neck, shoulder and the head just as a shawl. It is very popular among the people as it gives warmth after the bath and is very comfortable.

Kimono Collar: It is called kimono collar because there is no proper collar but like a kimono it has a wide border around the neck. It is usually preferred in the summer season.

Fabrics:
Cotton: Cotton is a natural fiber derived from the cotton plant, which consists of cellulose and is the most widely used fiber in making bathrobes. Cotton is a very good absorbent of water and it is a very comfortable fabric. Cotton bathrobes are especially suited to summer season as they absorb perspiration.

Silk: Silk is also a naturally occurring fiber derived from the larva of bombyx mori commonly known as the silk worm. This fabric is widely used in the manufacturing bathrobes. It is a fine lustrous fiber and is very strong. Silk bathrobes are very expensive and cannot be used in daily wear but they are very thin and lightweight. They are not much suited to wet environments because they lack the property of absorbing water.

Micro Fiber: Micro fiber is a very fine synthetic fiber, made of cellulose or polyester, and it can be woven in such a way that it gives the feel of a natural fiber. Modern micro fibers are developed to maximize water absorption. Fabrics made of this fiber can be thinner than the human hair. Robes made out of micro fiber are lightweight and are very soft to touch.

Terry: This fabric is generally derived from cotton, and they are the most preferred choice for bath towels and robes as they have the property of absorbing more water than any other fabric. It is also called terry cloth.

Velour: This is a fabric with cut loops. The bathrobes are usually made in such a manner that generally velour fabric is used on the outer side and terry on the inner side. This is done because terry cloth absorbs water better and Velour gives the bathrobe softness and a luxurious look. It is so soft that it can be felt by touch.

Waffle: Waffle fabric is used in making bathrobes because they are lightweight. People prefer them in the summer season. As they are light, they prevent perspiration in the hot weather conditions, and thus are very comfortable.

Bathrobes can thus give a comfortable feel to your swim wear collection.
